Ms Sirois&#8217; research expertise focuses on the analysis of education policies, and more specifically teacher management policies (attraction, training, recruitment and retention) and the challenges posed by shortages of teaching professionals in Canada. Her research aims to gain a better understanding of this issue in order to identify the levers that can be used to ensure the availability of sufficient numbers and quality of teaching staff. She is particularly interested in the specific challenges of attracting and retaining teachers in schools in rural and remote areas.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Alain Nault<\/strong>, Coordinator, Bureau de l&#8217;\u00e9ducation fran\u00e7aise (BEF), Manitoba Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning, and <strong>Lesley Doell<\/strong>, National Educational Consultant, Canadian Association of Immersion Professionals (ACPI). ACPI and the Bureau de l&#8217;\u00e9ducation fran\u00e7aise are working together on a pilot project offering personalized services to support rural school divisions in Manitoba.
