  1. ImmersART Program – learning French as a second language through arts and culture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Safiatou Ali<\/strong>, Coordinator of school microfinancing programs, and Zinha Muabi<\/strong>, Coordinator of the national ImmersART microgrant program, F\u00e9d\u00e9ration culturelle canadienne fran\u00e7aise (FCCF)<\/p>\n

    ImmersART<\/a><\/span> is an innovative program for young learners of French as a second language, offering language immersion through authentic artistic and cultural experiences. By integrating creative activities such as music, dance, theater and visual arts, it reinforces language skills while fostering confidence and self-expression. The arrival of the program in autumn 2024 under the initiative of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration culturelle canadienne-fran\u00e7aise<\/a><\/span> (FCCF), ImmersART offers an immersive approach that moves away from traditional methods to make learning French more lively and engaging, thus facilitating its daily use by students.<\/p>\n

    2. Experiences Canada – an authentic and fun way to learn French as a second language<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Mina Petrous<\/strong>, Youth Exchange Supervisor, Experiences Canada<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

    Learning French at school can be enriching, but speaking the language in another Canadian community where it’s used daily reinforces its relevance and enthusiasm for the French language and culture. Mina Petrous will explain the origins of this nearly 90-year-old organization, and how its reciprocal cultural exchanges have had a long-term impact on the thousands of young people.<\/p>\n

    3. Question and answer session<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The two presentations will be followed by a question answer session moderated by Fran\u00e7ois Ouellette<\/strong>, member of the National Table for French as a Second Language (NTFSL), and Director of the \u00c9ducation en fran\u00e7ais Division at the Department of Education, Government of Nunavut.<\/p>\n
